Comment: First I have always been an Apathy fan. This album had a good buzz and Ap seemed like he was trying to put something together that would be more than an average attempt. Just look at the caliber of producers, premier, muggs, statik, stu and others. That being said and Im syre people will disagree, but the beats weren't that great. The primo was a let down (can't believe I said that) the muggs beat didnt really jive with ap's style, hooks were kinda corny, too many features in general. I did really like Albino Gorrillaz, 152 AM, check to check, Its only hip hop and peace conn. I was dissapointed in general though as I was thinking this would be a classic that would live on like Eastern Philosophy or Bapyism by fire (eventhough its not all orig beats)...I like apathy still but I think alot of these reviews praising this album are based on his past work. Hey at least dude is still doing it and making a living...Will see what the next effort is like |

For $15, you are getting two full CDs - no snippets and no bullshit - straight up dope underground hip hop. Disc 1 is an album where damn near every track is a banger. Disc 2 is a 7 track EP and the entire instrumentals from every song on disc 1. Seriously people, how can you go wrong? I also want to mention that '1:52AM' reminds me of 'School' which is one of my favorite Apathy tracks - such a visual track, I literally have been getting chills every time I have played it. BUY THIS NOW - I promise it is (little) money worth spent. |
