Name: sikee (Posted: 3/20/2011 2:40:00 PM; Partial IP: 151.24.157) Location: Vancouver Comment: This is some really great soul-driven music anyone could bob their head to. That is an amazing accomplishment. Deepfry, I think you've been had by a paradox common to a lot of great music. Many times it comes across simple and you wonder how it could be the case that it's so appealing. The truth is, though, that if it were so simple, why can't you bang out something like this, something that transcends boundaries and anyone can agree sounds nice? Some of the best musicians in history don't go for "complex". Props to Apollo for breathing life into this thing album; it's cats like him that keep the sustenance in an otherwise watered down, marketing polluted, industry. Thanks. |
Name: MackOne (Posted: 3/19/2011 10:02:00 PM; Partial IP: .90.229.92) Location: WNC Comment: This album is straight melodic. I Can just play this all the way through. |
Name: DeepFry's A Moron (Posted: 3/18/2011 12:04:00 AM; Partial IP: 99.129.251) Location: Planet South America Comment: Deep Fry, complex doesn't always mean better. Simple? You mean like Zen, enjoyable and clean. You mean like Rothko? Didn't they say that about Basquiat when he started? Apollo's music works for me. It doesn't need to break musical boundaries like Philip Glass' early work, it simply sounds good. So I buy it. If you're so advanced please tell me where to buy your "hot" & "complex" album - let the listener decide. |
