Comment: I don't think Slug ever made songs as dark and gloom as he did on this album and may never reach that level again. I don't mean to say that a song gets better the more depressing it is, but for anyone who wants to see just how far down slug can get, this is the album to check. This album has ant's weakest beats, but they get the job done. |

Comment: This album is sick! Slug is a lyrical genius and I will never get tired of listening to him rhyme. The beats, though, weren't as good as “Lucy Ford” but still pretty damn good. If you don’t have this disc then get it.

Summary: Atmosphere, And Maybe You Don't Like Us....
Comment: “But I sure as hell do.” That's the first line of the album and I laugh every time I hear it because I don't see anything you can knock about Slug's rhyming style. I just got turned on to this album as well as the rest of the Rhymesayers crew, and I love what I've heard so far. Also, for a dope freestyle with Slug and Eyedea (also on Rhymesayers, winner of the HBO Blaze Battle) check out DJ Next's "Live at the Barbecue" mixtape.

Comment: Now this is one great album! Of course Slug brings it with the masterful lyrics as usual and Ant's beats rip a very defined style- tight drum sounds and well chosen samples with a sense of minimalism that some people, obviously, can't handle. Good production quality, extremely fine style, and great lyrics. Definite must have for true heads! |
