The lyrics, the flow, the beats - every song is incredible on this joint. | Name: Brad (Posted: 8/8/2011 4:28:00 AM; Partial IP: .98.154.96) Location: UK Comment: Although not classic atmosphere material, its still a great listen and still bumps to this day | Name: bklyn (Posted: 1/30/2010 11:40:00 PM; Partial IP: 07.142.118) Location: bklyn Comment: Anyone saying this is atmosphere's best work or even remotely close to their best work obviously doesnt listen to much of their music, this album doesnt even come close to its predecessors.. atmosphere has always been for the kids but now they are for those kids, kids, this album was the start of them becoming poppish, some might say it was the album prior to this one, at any rate, atmosphere will always be great, if not for what they are doing now, then at least for all they have accomplished in the past. | Name: JR (Posted: 12/20/2009 6:20:00 AM; Partial IP: 83.162.104) Location: WiSconsin Comment: Great album.. The Arrival, Pour Me Another, Smart Went Crazy, and Little Man are all MUST hears, the others are great as well only a couple I don't care for as much like Watch Out and Panic Attack. | Name: Tommy (Posted: 10/12/2009 3:09:00 AM; Partial IP: 106.52.189) Location: WV Comment: Lyrically, I think slug is at his peak here. Listen to the live "Bam!" acapella on youtube if you don't believe me. However, some of the songs around the middle of the album (#4-6 or so) kind of blend into each other and don't stand out. On the flip side of that, though, songs like "Smart Went Crazy", "Pour Me Another", and especially "Little Man" are the most well put-together, sonically pleasing material that Atmosphere has ever done. The beats are top notch from Ant on those songs and Slug's lyrics are second to none. | Name: Samson (Posted: 11/11/2008 1:05:00 PM; Partial IP: .252.27.60) Location: Moncton, Canada Comment: Catchy repetitive unoriginal beats. Sugar raps. Consistent.
I like listening to this album. But I was all ready an atmosphere fan. Probably won't make any new ones. | Name: sympathy (Posted: 2/16/2008 5:39:00 PM; Partial IP: .194.38.54) Location: freeport, ny, usa Comment: This album is amazing. An Album doesn't sound good with only ONE listen, kid...
I love this album, nuff said. | Name: Roman (Posted: 1/26/2008 3:48:00 PM; Partial IP: 38.221.244) Location: NJ Comment: Amazing. Dont listen to negative reviews | Name: professor doom (Posted: 10/22/2005 9:22:00 PM) Summary: Disapointing Comment: I'm a big fan of Atmosphere. They are by far my favorite underground group. I bought this album the other day, put it in my stereo as soon as I got home, and listened with great anticipation. I was severely dissapointed. Slug seems very caught up in his own success. The first few songs are him bragging and being too arrogant for my liking. He's not the same anymore. The songs are way over-produced. With varying intro and outro samples on every single track! This cd flows about as well as a river of molases covered legos. After one listen, this cd has gone back into it's cheap plastic cd cased, where it will stay for a very long time. |
