Comment: Regardless of whether you’re a fan or not, most would agree that Esoteric can flow. And let’s not forget that nearly every producer that has stepped behind the boards for Es has delivered some of the best beats in the past few years ("Bound To Slay," "Essays On Esoterrorism," "Speaking Real Words," etc.). If you are still in the dark about this Boston area rhymesayer then "Call Me E.S." is a good introductory cut to Esoteric’s verbal stylings. Everyone else who’s been listening should be satisfied with his extra confident lyricism over the Vinyl Reanimator’s funky, sax heavy production. Es sure loves to emphasize how he’s “taking it back” to the days of old and "Call Me E.S." is further evidence of this angle. |
