Name: MosLes45 (Posted: 12/29/2003 4:23:00 PM) Summary: Can't Get Any Hotter Comment: "Rhyme-wise I'm Jesus times five"...seamus has to be to keep up with this beat by 7L....this and "Precision" off of Dangerous Connections LP can make even 7L-Es haters heads roll...7L can bring it plain and simple... |
Name: Ominous Allah (Posted: 2/19/2003 2:46:00 PM) Summary: Hot Beat With Hot Rhymes Comment: I'm not an avid fan of the duo but this song is fire. 7L provides us with probably one of the hottest beats to hit the streets. The piano loops flow smoothly and make this song a f*ckin masterpiece. Esoteric's rhymes can't go unnoticed as well.

Name: spademan (Posted: 2/1/2003 1:30:00 AM) Summary: 7l Holla At Me Man Comment: Yo, this f*cking guy is no joke. Esoteric stepped his game up on this one but he had to, the beat was just that f*cking hot.

Name: RottenRhymer (Posted: 11/5/2002 8:54:00 PM) Summary: Yo This Sh*t Is Hot Mothafawkas Comment: Crazy beat, and sick lyrics. Mad f*cking props to 7L and Esoteric- ain't nuthing but dope hip-hop. |
Name: Jay Butterz (Posted: 10/24/2002 12:13:00 AM) Summary: Holy Wow! Comment: This track, which is off 7L & Esoteric’s sophomore release “Dangerous Connection”(buy it here, folks, its also hot), is sharp. 7L laced this like Prada shoes! Also, I'd like to add Esoteric's attitude, delivery, voice, and multi's have spawned a joke between my friends and I that Esoteric fears being touched physically by other humans. God Complex? Maybe. This track is a banger, definitely. They both hold down underground New England hip-hop well. |
Name: Food Stamp (UGHH Staff) (Posted: 10/19/2002 3:25:00 PM) Location: Oregon, USA Comment: Holy sh *t, this beat is tight! 7L shows his diversity as a producer on “Watch Me,” a cut that deviates from his previous futuristic ish. The fast paced beat, hooked with a Redman piano loop, is the cheese for Esoteric’s cracker. Eso shines here too as he combines his old complex cyborg style with his ill ass battle steez. Definitely a cut that will please any head out there and maybe even ya moms. |
Name: lesysh_(decice) (Posted: 10/16/2002 10:17:00 PM) Summary: Whut Else Do You Need? Comment: It doesn’t get any better than this! 7L, personally, I think came out on-top again. For sure they know how to rap, just listen to them. I got friends that don’t even listen to underground and they though it was phat. |
Name: MissesBillCollector (Posted: 9/29/2002 12:32:00 AM) Summary: Outstanding Comment: Killin' it! These cats are rippin’ it raw, no doubt. Blazin' lyrics, this is the type of shit I would like to hear more often! |
Name: Tynee G (Posted: 9/15/2002 1:41:00 PM) Summary: One Of The Dopest Comment: One of the dopest tracks I've ever heard. The beat is a dope-as-hell-banger and the lyrics are off the hook. |
Name: DAYUNGMAC (Posted: 9/13/2002 2:17:00 PM) Summary: Holy Sh*t Comment: This track is soo sick, that I may need a couple months to process it. Iller than anything I have heard in months. |
Name: chronos (Posted: 8/27/2002 8:03:00 AM) Summary: Tight Track Comment: Ill beat - dope lyrics - they sound good together. More tracks on the radio should be this tight. |
Name: ed_marciano (Posted: 8/21/2002 12:37:00 AM) Summary: Banga!! Comment: Esoteric's delivery is heat. 7L made the beat of the year on this one! The ghostface chorus is what really grabs me though. |
Name: thug430 (Posted: 8/20/2002 11:49:00 PM) Summary: 5 Outta 5 Comment: Esoteric's lyrics on this shit are murderous and the beat is definitely the hardest beat on the 12. That is Ghostface on the hook, not Redman, so fuck you. |
Name: D_Scribe (Posted: 8/18/2002 9:46:00 AM) Summary: Can't Stop Listening To This. Comment: I have to say, that this song is the best thing I've heard coming out of Boston in some time. Eso is on top of his game as usual, but the real star on this is 7L. Damn, I love this music. This will get him some serious notice, I think. And if it's not a planned single for radio, it should be. |
Name: Al-teriq (Posted: 8/16/2002 5:08:00 AM) Summary: On Point Comment: Where should I start? Well, the production looks like a good area. The production is very exceptional on this track – it’s smooth like molasses, the piano and flute riff compliment each other in the background, the actual lyrics to the song I felt were not going anywhere. I feel the emcee, in this case Eso was "saved by the beat", I’m not trying to put my nigga down or anything but this definitely was not one of his finer moments. At times the beat was really murdering him, but he finished strong so that evens it out. Nice overall song. |
Name: aristoteles54 (Posted: 8/15/2002 10:58:00 AM) Summary: Daaaaaaamn Comment: This is serious, this shit is slammin’. Probably among the tops beats of all time. |
Name: da statusone (Posted: 8/8/2002 12:44:00 PM) Summary: Dont Sleep On Eso' Comment: This is hot. One of Esoteric's tightest joints. Good concept with the word play. The beat blends well with Eso's flow. 7L struts his shit on dis track. Good cuts. These guys stay on point. |
Name: ToxicAvenger (Posted: 8/7/2002 3:00:00 PM) Summary: Damn! Comment: One of the hottest beats I've ever heard. If 7L and Esoteric keep comming with shit like this they'll for sure be the hottest underground artists. |
Name: Profasi (Posted: 8/5/2002 6:24:00 PM) Summary: Ill As F*ck Comment: Yo this is really nice. Beat is beautiful...Eso's flow is crazy too. Nice Ghostface sample on the hook. |
Name: Slink (Posted: 8/4/2002 9:29:00 PM) Summary: This Joint Is Hot!! Comment: This joint is hot!! Yet another tight single from one of the best underground groups out there. They got the production and lyrics that keep them above the rest. Keep it up!! |
Name: genghiskhan20 (Posted: 8/3/2002 10:35:00 PM) Summary: Nice Production, Dope Lyrics Comment: Esoteric RIPS this track to shreds. My favorite punchline on that was the one where he said he takes out 5% like federal tax. I think that umm.. Jus Allah better watch what he says now cause this track proves that Esoteric don't play when it comes to his. |
Name: sirnigz el truthseeker (Posted: 8/3/2002 12:52:00 PM) Summary: Eso' Stayin Strong Comment: Esoteric is maintaining his solid flow from The Soul Purpose, and 7L is taking his game to new heights. Eso is gonna take Beantown to prominence. |
Name: roy biggins (Posted: 8/3/2002 3:48:00 AM) Summary: Best 7L Es Song Since Def Rhymes! Comment: 7L blessed Eso with an UNBELIEVABLE beat. Eso’s flow on there is crazy. Lyrics are a mix between his old complex style and his more recent stuff. Impressive. |
Name: Quest (UGHH Staff) (Posted: 8/2/2002 9:20:00 AM) Location: UGHH World HQ - Boston, MA Summary: Beautiful Piano-based Instrumental Comment: I love the sample used as the chorus (I think it's Redman), but I'm more impressed with the great instrumental 7L put together. 7L really shows off his skills on this 12" as a producer who compliments Esoteric's super scientifical lyrical skills. For those who weren't feeling "The Soul Purpose" for whatever reason, all I can say is - 7L & Esoteric are back! |
