Comment: Ha ha ha.. I remember hearing this kid Bucc Rogerz from way back in the day freestyling on college radio in my area. I seen him at a show and his flow is an aquired taste I would have to say. He cleared out the club dance floor wit his boys, I guess its the voice that kills it. I give him props tho cause hes a local kid and doin shit with the likes of Kool Keith. |

Comment: Like most, I am skeptical when listening to any artist for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised by Bucc Rogerz’ first single and I will be picking up the rest when his album drops. Bucc seems to posses the ability to keep the energy up on every song, while at the same time flipping his style so that he becomes one with the beat. Having Kool Keith on this single doesn’t hurt at all either – I’d recommend checking this single, and I’m looking forward to the full album… |

Summary: Late 80's Early 90's Feel
Comment: I bought this single because I heard the 2nd song "High Powered" on the internet and thought the sh*t was tight. When I heard "Transmitting Live" Bucc flipped an old school style that was different from his rapid-fire delivery on HP. The track reminded me of the days when hip hop was all about having fun. Comment: As the beat drops, it reminded me of the nostalgic Biz Markie Pickin’ Boogers era, until Bucc Rogerz drops his early 90’s flow. Just like throwback jerseys and trucker hats days are seeing the end of the tunnel, Bucc Rogerz has an annoying flow that makes Jurassic 5’s classic style seem like pure genius. Thanks to his presence, Kool Keith demonstrates how to rock a record “properly.” Many new jack MC’s today lack the flow of the beat and just spit lyrics like the beat will automatically catch up to them, and in the end, ruin a potentially nice record. Maybe just leaving Kool Keith alone on the single would push this record a bit harder than Bucc Rogerz pushing his MC career any further. |
