Comment: No fronting, this is one of the best tracks of 2005. This album, and particularly this one track, has that same cross genre appeal that Wyclef's "The Carnival" or the best of Sublime's work had. The balance between reggae and hip-hop on this record is amazing – and in reality, it should not be classified as cross genre…it is just simply great music. The beat is dying to be cranked from cars, Marley holds it down with perfect flow on the hook and verses, and Nas absolutely kills it, buries it, digs it up and then kills it again. Highly recommended. In fact, go out and cop the whole LP (just remember to press skip on the Bobby Brown track…). |
