| Name: DJ Timid (Posted: 2/17/2006 11:33:00 AM) Comment: "Wherever I sit, son, that is my throne…" D*mn right, Gza. Is Gza finally getting his props? In a recent Rolling Stone article, Chris Rock said that Liquid Swords is the best Wu-Tang solo record ever. When the Genius was a musical guest on his show, Dave Chappelle looked more like a fan than he did an international comedy icon. Everyone who knows has known for years, and this collabo LP with Muggs is just banger after banger. This track works so well, both on the LP as a whole and as a single, and fortunately it features Raekwon who, along with Ghostface, represents the lyrically best and most consistent third of the Clan. From where I sit, Muggs is one of only a few producers who truly get what a great Wu-Tang project should sound like. He makes every sample and note count on this one, just like it should be! |
