Comment: This is a fist pumper. A hard-banging, ready your munitions, call-to-war track that once again highlights DL Incognito’s manic energy. The beat lacks somewhat in the originality department (how many times can a war beat be used before someone marks it "overdone"?), but the song isn’t about the beat. It’s about DL Incognito’s breathlessly heated flow driving the words into your head like hollow-points. Though any Big L comparisons fall to the wayside on this track, the emcee rides the reverberating drums, and swelling strings, like a seasoned veteran, once again triumphing over the mediocrity of the beat. |
