Comment: Virginia hasn’t put much on the hip-hop table lately especially since diggidy Das has fallen off, but Doujah Raze is about to kill all that noise. Raze rips bars like my dad does farts, but without the lingering effects. Although the lyrics are nice they do little to keep my ear after a few bars and Rollen Salvanera’s beat is good, but it’s been done. Some compare the sound to Premo, but that’s a dope sound, and this cat can’t touch the Gang Starr beatsmith. |

Comment: Much love to any MC who would make a song called "Irish Cream". I’m an upcoming MC out of Cali and I’m feeling VA on that one, and I’m definitely feeling Doujah. Especially if he's a white cat.

Summary: Someone's Got A Primo Starter Kit!
Comment: While it's refreshing to see Northern Virginia make yet another splash into the underground hip hop realm (re: Team Demolition), Doujah Raze's meager lyrics won't make a case for supremacy. Rollen Salvanera's Primo-like production grows stale after a third listen but isn't the worst you've heard. Raze's debut 12 inch far outpaces this lukewarm release. |
