| Name: high-c (Posted: 10/19/2002 3:23:00 PM) Comment: Right from the start, the warm, inviting instrumental seems promising. Seconds later, when the soul-father Rasco enters the picture all things begin to fall in place. Next, E.C. offers a painless yet comparably lackluster flow, claiming to have the “cure for this rap disease.” J5 déjà vu, anyone? The most notable moment occurs when the Asia amazes, stepping up to the mic for a final verse. The instrumental seems like it was tailor-made for Asia’s rhymes, amounting to one lovely, soulful amalgamation. Whew… Thank god for cameos, right? With this lineup, old E.C. might sell a few copies. |
