Name: Samuel LatchKey (Posted: 10/25/2003 12:56:00 PM) Summary: Vast And El-p Crackin Concrete As Usual Comment: Ah sh*t man! These two cats can never faulter! Sh*t I gotta see these peeps live. |
Name: J6N (Posted: 8/23/2003 3:26:00 PM) Summary: Dope!! Comment: First time I heard it I thought that 'this beat is really going to get annoying', but surprisingly I dont think it does (maybe it does a little). Couple that with the insane lyrics of El-P and my favourite MC Vast Aire, and you have one insanely dope song! |
Name: Enoch The Dreadnaught (Posted: 10/19/2002 3:25:00 PM) Comment: This song is insanely dope. Over a very basic loop, El and Vast go bananas talking some of the craziest sh*t you'll ever hear. They both bring their distinct, familiar flows, but the lyrics are from another realm. If you haven't heard this already, then get your mind right, get cozy, and get entertained. |
Name: dexterous (Posted: 7/29/2002 10:38:00 PM) Summary: Someone Said Vast Is The Illest Lyricist??? Comment: Ok, the beat is dope, didn't realy have to say it, but I did anyway. El-P comes good, not great but very, very solid. The comment that Vast is the illest lyricist is deeply troubling to me. For one El-P is far better than he is, and proves so on this track. I'll name a few mc's which Vast can't even hang with, forget being as good: Ace Rock, Illogic, Slug, Sage Francis, not to mention El-P. I'm not hating either, I don't dislike Vast at all- I just find it absurd when people make these kind of comments. This is one of the tracks on the album which arn't great, good but not great, there are only a few trust me, if you haven't got Fantastic Damage yet, get it. |
Name: Shadow_Master (Posted: 6/5/2002 10:19:00 AM) Summary: Nothing Special Comment: I haven't been really impressed by El-P in a while. Vast is cool, but sounds better as a part of Cannibal Ox. Must just be a chemistry thing. |
Name: TheShowGun (Posted: 6/4/2002 12:57:00 AM) Summary: El-P And Vast You Can't Go Wrong. Comment: Some more dope beats from El-p please. I can't get enough of these cats Vast and El are some Bad mo Fo's. The lyrics are mad crazy and the beat is mad enough to match. |
Name: dae021 (Posted: 5/9/2002 9:39:00 AM) Summary: What!! Comment: This joint is retarded! Vast and El-p be kickin that off the wall, oh so perfect stuff that we've come to expect from Defjux. Yeah, Vast is making a name for himself trying to be the illest right now. Anyone who sleeps, sorry that you've slept. |
Name: MARChimedes (Posted: 4/18/2002 4:01:00 PM) Summary: The Lyrics Are Dope. (As Usual) Comment: One of these reviewers (who will remain anonymous) needs to listen to this song again and be punched in the dome. If these lyrics don't make sense to you then you need to stop listening to underground hip hop and pop the P. Diddy CD back in your CD player. |
Name: anakin (Posted: 4/16/2002 2:08:00 PM) Summary: Sex Never Sounded This Good Comment: Boom bap strapped to a time bomb. Word up Vast steals the show with many memorable lines, while El-P will make you cringe after each perverted phrase dropped. The hook is what will get you to come back. This is the most well rounded song on the 12 inch. Mos def cop this. |
Name: PeterNorth (Posted: 4/16/2002 1:51:00 PM) Summary: Garage Band Crap Comment: Production is alright and as usual most of the lyrics make no sense. Vast outshines El-P for sure. |
Name: Epidemic1200s (Posted: 4/13/2002 10:34:00 AM) Summary: The Illness We Expect From Defjux Comment: The production is somewhat repitive but its still dope. I personally think Vast outshines El-P, but thats just some personal bias I have...probably |
Name: uncle mitch (Posted: 4/10/2002 9:35:00 PM) Summary: The Song Is Crack Comment: Plain and simple - this song is crack! That’s it, pure crack. Too bad real hip hop like this don't touch more ear lobes. |
Name: TobyFloors (Posted: 4/9/2002 1:39:00 AM) Summary: Coming Wit Da Sickness!!! Comment: Nuthin but love for the immortal, Vast Aire comes off like whoa! My man El-P is like all over the place wit this track and givin me crazy feelins. I am just sooo impressed by this cut for real! This is what underground hip hop is all about. Talk about evolution! CoFlow breaking up hurt me for real, but it has produced some banging gems- and this one is definitely one of 'em. |
Name: mercurywaters (Posted: 4/8/2002 11:37:00 PM) Summary: Bite Ya Face Comment: The bass loop digs deep into the forehead and provides a blank canvas for the poetic perversions of Vast and El-P. This joint is crazy. Thats why I like it. |
Name: MARChimedes (Posted: 4/8/2002 9:03:00 PM) Summary: Once Again Comment: Vast Aire is the illest lyricist out there right now (with the possible exception of C-Rayz Walz) and El-P is probably the best rapper/producer ever. You get what you expect in this song. |
