Name: specialk (Posted: 4/22/2004 6:19:00 PM) Summary: Good Song By Guru Comment: Three different styles on here by DJ Premier and he allows Guru to good on here he has 3 different beats in one I would give the beat a 4.5. Guru does a great job on here, a nice tune. |
Name: chainsaw ARMS (Posted: 9/13/2003 7:15:00 PM) Summary: Funking Stupid Nasty Beat. Comment: I want to jerk off to this beat! It is sinister, simple, and dope while Guru is un-freaking-stoppable, making for a beautiful track. |
Name: KOOLSPHERE (Posted: 4/26/2003 4:45:00 AM) Summary: Are You Kidding Me? Comment: No offense, but to be saying anything negative regarding Guru's flow or Premo's track... you’re definitely having some issues in your life. Hip-hop is soo wack right now and the only group actually holding it down and really reppin what hip-hop really is.. is GANG STARR. The lyrics were typical dope Guru flippen and Preme's signature dope track seals the deal. Wake up and stop playing it off… GANG STARR is the shit! Two thumbs up! |
Name: JAZ:72 (Posted: 4/15/2003 12:44:00 AM) Summary: Could Have Been From The'' Full Clip'' Sessions Comment: This is Guru and DJ Premier doing what they do best. Primo's track is far from his best work, but the sinister piano keys and the eerie tones make for a slow head-nodding affair. Bring on "The Ownerz!"

Name: Leather neck (Posted: 3/29/2003 11:46:00 AM) Summary: Good Stuff Comment: I like the beat it’s classic Premier shit and Guru's lyrics murder this track. This song is a little too short but most of Gang Starr's are so it is to be expected. Real good stuff though, I’m glad Guru still gives it up for Boston. |
Name: Knowledge (Posted: 3/8/2003 4:43:00 PM) Comment: Premo’s backdrop here seems lazy and doesn’t adhere to Guru’s fast-paced flow. Superb lyrics on this one and decent production; although, they simply don’t fit together to make things gel. I definitely don’t feel like this track is a complete loss, but it’s as simple as a sped up tempo or slowed down lyrics to tighten things up; as the track stands... a little boring for Gang Starr standards. |
Name: DJ Salvation (Posted: 3/6/2003 6:27:00 AM) Summary: The God Misses.... Comment: I still think Premo is the sickest producer ever, and this beat screams vintage Premo, especially the horn break at the end of each bar. But it sounds like a reject from the first Group Home album, not one of his best efforts, the B side is much better.

Name: DteK2nr (Posted: 3/5/2003 11:14:00 PM) Summary: Dope Sh*t Comment: Guru & Premo did it again! Dope beats, on-point lyrics; hip-hop doesn’t get better than this one. It is must cop doubles if you can.

Name: prhiphop03 (Posted: 3/3/2003 9:57:00 PM) Summary: Lazy Beat Comment: I can’t wait for the new Gang Starr album but this joint I hope they leave off. This Premo beat will put you to sleep.

Name: D.L.C. (Posted: 3/2/2003 1:13:00 AM) Summary: Respect The Ownerz Comment: Since 1988, Gang Starr has been an important part of the hip-hop music movement. The chemistry between Guru's rhyme cadence and Premo's superior tracks are the stuff of legend. "Natural" continues the very solid tradition. Guru sounds like he never lost a step since "Moment Of Truth". We can expect the new LP, "The Ownerz," to bang just as hard. Only downside to this joint? It's too short! |
Name: rluong (Posted: 3/1/2003 9:01:00 PM) Summary: I Dunno... Comment: This song was just okay. The lyrics are okay, the beat is okay. This was an average song from a group that is anything but. There's nothing really special about this song, but it was nice to hear Gang Starr again. I dunno, this song just really didn't do anything for me.
