Name: PhobikONE503 (Posted: 12/11/2003 7:22:00 PM) Summary: Dope Colab Comment: East beats meets west style lyrics... This is straight dope... Chali2Na kills, and then Beatnutz drop science... but all of J5 come correct... Marc7 drops it nice, Akil, well kills it... and Soup is so dope... | Name: MSC (Posted: 11/16/2003 10:20:00 AM) Summary: Listen Now Comment: I really got into this cause I wasn’t all too sure about it when I first pressed the play button. With the beat, and that it didn’t seem right for J5, but the more I listened the more I thought it all went together well. J5 keep spittin’ the good lyrics and being real with this. Top tune! | Name: Paul (Posted: 11/9/2003 3:19:00 PM) Comment: J5 usually doesn't have outside producers, but JuJu of the infamous Beatnuts adds his production skills and rhymes to "One Of Them." The beat supplies a subtle string loop along with some distant keys, creating a beat that sounds a little darker than what J5 is used to. But the rhymes and the hook are quite catchy, and although "One Of Them," like "Freedom," sounds a little too sparse at times, the energy and cuts on the hook make this more successful. More dopeness from J5, but what did you expect? | Name: hiphoptime (Posted: 11/5/2003 3:29:00 PM) Summary: Great Song. Speaks The Truth. Comment: The production on this song is pretty good, even though there have been minor changes to the song on the album. Jurassic 5 do a good job of explaining what a fake emcee is. |
