| Name: d danja (Posted: 4/4/2004 2:00:00 PM) Summary: Not The Greatest, But Give The Guy A Break! Comment: I didn't know what to think of this one when it dropped. But listening to it now, it's an alright song! People always have somethin' to say about somethin' not bein' "real hip-hop" Why isn't it? Cause he's talkin' about a woman and not how many molecules are in his microphone? He still maintained his style and brought it in a way that didn't work for him sales-wise, but made for a decent joint. | Name: VOORHIES (Posted: 10/22/2003 11:44:00 PM) Summary: Def Squad Is The Squidad Comment: Maintains his style and ability level and comes with another classic song for Def Squad. | Name: blibstar (Posted: 9/15/2003 5:10:00 AM) Summary: Lost Credability Comment: It’s not that the beat is wack because it’s not, but it has been done before. There is no originality or respect for the art of hip-hop. Keith Murray is looking for the radio listeners…Sermon needs to hook him up with a beat! | Name: 8oNe8 (Posted: 9/10/2003 12:48:00 PM) Summary: Wack Wack Wack Wack Wack Comment: What the f*ck is going on with Keith Murray? Damn, damn! I hope this song makes no money, please no one buy this. | Name: ima"hip"hopper (Posted: 8/14/2003 12:07:00 PM) Summary: "most Beautifullest" Losing Its Shimmer... Comment: I hope this isn’t an indication of what his new album is like. Y'all remember tracks like "1000 Degrees" and "Dangerous Ground?” | Name: Phayde (Posted: 8/11/2003 5:33:00 PM) Comment: As most people know, "Candi Bar" uses the same beat as The Rascalz' "Movie Star." From what I've heard, the short version of the story is that Khalil allegedly sold the beat to both The Rascalz and Keith Murray. That said, it's difficult to take a stance on this track without comparing it to "Movie Star." Both are glorifying a fictitious woman and comparing her to the "chocolate candy bar" that is mentioned in the Patti Austin sample. Overall a solid track, and while the production is undeniably nice, the two tracks will almost always be associated with one other. | Name: syllabusta (Posted: 8/8/2003 9:17:00 AM) Summary: Already Been Done! Comment: This sample has already been done the same way by the Rascalz. It wasn’t even flipped differently. I hate re-dun or re-sampled beats.
| Name: lank_link (Posted: 8/6/2003 8:07:00 PM) Summary: Radio Reach For Murray Comment: Looking at Kalil on the beat, I was thinking something raw, instead this commercial pop beat is trying to get Murray out to 13-year-old girls. This is garbage and shows that Murray's window has closed. Someone call Redman for a cameo and Sermon for a new beat.
