Comment: A great beat that makes excellent use of a familiar keyboard/organ sound, proving that it's not what you use, it's how you use it. “Changes” has the perfect intro to cut up, because it gets a head nod after just a couple of notes and Kev's first verse comes in at the perfect time. It also never hurts to have a shortened hook at the beginning to let you drop hints, along with a clean instrumental break for all your cross-fader shenanigans. A great 12” to learn on or show off with, depending on your skill level. Kev keeps his lines nice, tight and on-point. The beat is like a boot and the rhymes are the crisscrossed laces that hold it all together.

Summary: Production Genius- Can't Deny This!
Comment: I don’t have much to say about the lyrics on this track but what I do know is that this is strictly a beautifully done beat. This represents the few elite of the game. This is setting standards!

Comment: Mash Comp you're an idiot. You clearly have not done your research on Kev Brown otherwise you know he’s been doin' it in the game for more than a minute now. He’s dope, soulful, and is bringin’ back them hip hop fundamentals. He belongs in the game and deserves every ounce of respect he’s getting.

Summary: Really Chill Stuff
Comment: This is another cool, laidback track from Kev Brown feat Kaimbr (never heard of him but he's solid, nothing special). I find that all of Kev Brown's productions have the same laidback, after-hours feel to them. He's an incredibly talented producer but I think he should try to flip it up a bit, in terms of moods in his work, to show his range. As far as being the next 9th Wonder, I don't know about that. 9th Wonder hasn't been in the game long enough to prove himself to be great, so making comparisons like that are premature. He has only 1 great (not classic) full-length to his credit, so that doesn't afford him legend status in my books. Kev and 9th are both up and comers so it would be interesting to see who endures. My bets are with Kev as he is a superior producer in my eyes (though both put out good music).

Summary: For All The Hype, Kev Brown Is Just Ok
Comment: Many are pegging Kev Brown to be the next 9th Wonder but he's got some time to go before he makes it to that level. This isn't to say that his work is wack as it clearly is not. It just doesn't have the punch you'd expect from such a hyped kid. MC Kaimbr is overwhelming as well. It's a song I'm certain many fans of that extra cool hip-hop stuff should like.
