Comment: Little Brother seem to be moving from underground sensations to an incredibly solid group blurring the lines between underground and mainstream (à la Kanye). On "Hold On," 9th Wonder actually out-Kanye's Mr. West with a wonderfully produced beat featuring sub-Wu-Tang soul vocal clips and a laidback string-laden sonic pallet. If this is any indication of what the album will be like, I'm sold. Leave it to Little Brother to add onto the renaissance of brilliant hip-hop this year. |
