Comment: This is classic hip-hop--Dope! Great sampling, real lyrics (none of that juvenile words you hear in Dirty South). I miss this kind of hip-hop--straight outta New York, New Jersey, and Philly.

Comment: This is one of many raps I grew up on listening in my car. This is hard grit. Phat beat and lyrics were tight. This is classic hip-hop.

Comment: Arguably the best posse cut ever, this song is a perfect snapshot of the Juice Crew era (at least the male part). Master Ace, Craig G, Kool G Rap, and Big Daddy Kane all flip doo-doo fresh rhymes over Marley Marl's tasty production (note the Ottis Redding piano sample). This is what hip hop sounded like before the big money, fame, videos, agents and vanity labels diluted America's urban folk music.
