Comment: Arguably the best posse cut ever, this song is a perfect snapshot of the Juice Crew era (at least the male part). Master Ace, Craig G, Kool G Rap, and Big Daddy Kane all flip doo-doo fresh rhymes over Marley Marl's tasty production (note the Ottis Redding piano sample). This is what hip hop sounded like before the big money, fame, videos, agents and vanity labels diluted America's urban folk music. |
