Comment: Okay, the problem with lots of underground hip-hop music right now is that every producer wants to emulate Pete Rock or DJ Premier, only without the life and love that those two producers put into their production. And who needs to rip-off Pete Rock? He's doing just fine as it is, and "Blindsided" is more than enough proof that the guy has been able to almost never disappoint. LMNO and Kozmonautz provide the rhymes, and with Rock on the beats and the scratching, it's beyond good. So if you want the unmistakable sound of Pete Rock, just go straight to the master himself. |
