Item Summary
Hip Hop Artist. Producer. Actor. Philanthropist. Big Boi has done it all. From being one half of the legendary hip hop group OutKast, to acting on Law & Order: SVU and films such as ATL, Idlewild and Who's Your Caddy?, to organizing a nonprofit organization for socially-conscious youth, to prooducing a show for the Atlanta Ballet entitled 'big'. He's a renaissance man, and he's ready to give the world some new music.

After six groundbreaking, classic albums released with the hip hop duo OutKast, Big Boi launched his full-fledged solo career. While he had released a previous solo album in Speakerboxxx, it still was technically under the OutKast name. 2010's Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty would be his first official solo album as Big Boi. The album was released internationally on July 5 of that year. Guest artists included alternative urban songstress Janelle Monae; Big Boi's own new group Vonnegutt; T.I. and B.o.B. Sir Lucious Left Foot received general acclaim from most music critics, earning praise for its inventive sound, varied musical style and Big Boi's lyricism.

Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors will be Big Boi's second solo album dropping December 11th. The new project promises to be just as genre-bending and exciting as Big Boi's other projects. Featuring artists like Theophilus London, Little Dragon and Kelly Rowland, T.I., and Ludacris.

Comment: This is NOT my brand of HipHop... I could be wrong concerning my opinion of it... he still spits like Big Boi but his sound is so "recent and modern"... which I HATE!!! Whatever (THEY are calling) HipHop now sounds like R&B. All of it. Honestly I understsand the use of live bands and purity and all that CRAP but the Roots still sound like HipHop even if they ARE a band. So did Digable. Let's take some notes people. It was founded a certain way and the instrumentation can graduate all it wants but the rawness... When the world is over I do not want this watered down frilly umbrella drink of passion fruit and guava representing the fine taste of well-aged cognac in real HipHop. Am I wrong... drunk... BOTH!?!?!?! Neither.

Comment: Andre and Big Boi definately the better of the famous guys....dig the artwork here. Source mag been trash a long time. So much big money crap does not support the good art. It's all thugged out wack retard funding...recycled bullshit. That's not art. Art explores. Art is of the heart and mind and soul. Art is a healer. Music Industry is a cheap Ho. Fuck You music Industry. search Shapeless at soundcloud, iTunes, pocket band dot net, youtube, reverb nation...

Comment: I have alot of faith In Big Boi, based on his last album, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son on chico Dusty. During that time I really saw that The Source magazine was just a front, depicting Hip Hop culture instead of persuing what makes the music special. Although I am a fan of Bun B, I still think Big Boi`s album at the time was the superior music, that should have earned him the 5 mics award. but knowing this, Why would any credible hip hop Publisher suggest that yelawolf`s album earned itself 4 mics.... just seems real fishy. Also, I would have rated the previous album 4 stars. Not saying that is was a classic, but more so the consistancy with great production and rhymes
