You said it's expected to be candy coated, half of this album was personal and had quality content as opposed to other Def Jam releases. Compared to other major label releases this year, this is clearly a standout. Krit can only grind and make 'underground' music for so long before he'd like to get his piece of the pie. He was going to quit music before Krit Wuz Here, in fact he then went on to release 3 FREE mixtapes. Surely he now deserves to get mainstream money and be more known across the world. I'm not saying it's an excuse to turn pop but his album had at least 7 tracks that were amazing, musically. Cut Krit some slack, if you're gonna stop being a fan because of what you said, you weren't a real fan to begin with. This album was entertaining, fun, introspective and musically some of Krit's best work. I don't think it was as good as Krit Wuz Here but that's only because Def Jam obviously required some hits, understandably. But this is one of the best mainstream rap albums of the year, I'd give this a 7/10.. | Name: sth (Posted: 10/3/2012 6:36:00 PM; Partial IP: .77.45.164) Location: middle of infinity Comment: A lot of peope will say this doesn't match the expectations of his mixtapes, but I think it is a much better and more significant effort. Much more personal, and I think more people will realize this over time.
And people will be saying the same thing about Kendrick's album until 4 or 5 years passes, and everyone starts calling it classic. | Name: No longer a Big Krit fan (Posted: 9/10/2012 5:49:00 PM; Partial IP: .57.40.101) Location: 3030 Comment: His mixtapes are really good. Since this is on Def Jammed, it's expected to be candy coated poop and it is. I don't expect anything good from this dude again.
