Makia Fall/Winter 2012-2013 Collection
9/24: Hailing from the old workers district in Helsinki Finland, comes Makia. Born out of an idea of a timeless streetwear line, Makia makes modern yet old fashioned clothes that reflect the Finnish tradition of simple straight forward design. Founded in 2001, Makia has since grown in to a full line of men's and women's clothes that are made to endure the harsh Nordic climate and to last and look good, year after year. The FW12-13 catalogue was shot during one week in Alaska, and features local people in their natural surroundings. True renaissance men who live on their own terms in a place mostly forgotten by the rest of the modern society. A perfect place for Makia to venture into. |
