I was in high school when "Let's Get Free" came out, and I'm one year away from 30 now. Both stic.man and M1 are older than me, so it's only natural that they tone things down a bit - sh*t, I know I have. The production is a bit above decent, although a bit "mainstream" at times. I enjoyed the album.
I was going to give the LP 4 stars, but to counter all the hatred, I'm posting 5! |

They have evolved past fighting the powers that be with violence, and instead have opted for conquering the demons within themselves. This cd is spiritualy revolutionary, and to all you who ain't feeling it: may one day your mind and soul be open to the awesomeness that is this cd. See ya when you get there, mafuckas!!!! |

Peace RBG FIT CLUB!I ll give it 3.5 stars but Ill give it 5 because of the low reviews. |

New age cheesey beats can help do that I guess. I think they selling out with the beats a little but the message is still strong. For me most these beats are torture to listen to. |

Name: Mr.D (Posted: 1/2/2013 9:35:00 AM; Partial IP: 49.218.232) Location: Chciago Comment: Great album. Music-wise, the tracks are nearly comparable to stuff produced by Kno of Cunninlynguists or Eligh of Living Legends- and I'm not saying its AS good, but it's good music. Then, of course, lyrically, Dead Prez is always on point. They have all of the political stuff you'd expect, but there's some new seemingly Buddhist influences themes and one song just about running- and I mean for sport. One of my fave albums this year. |
