Comment: Premier is the greatest producer of all time; produced almost 700 songs and unlike dre doesn't have his "co-producer" sue him and/or leave every few years to be replaced by another clown; he does his beats on his own. You can say his drums sound the same but that's like rock fans saying all rolling stones songs sound alike. Having said that this album isn't great, he's got songs from 10 years ago, repeats that he's already released (like who would cop this that didn't have the konexion already?) It's mostly premo scraping the barrel with freddie delivering freestyles on a lot of songs, more of a mixtape than an album but nonetheless its still better than most albums this year. |

Kolexxxion is laced with hard hittin' beats, courtesy DJ Premier; who is widely considered to be the best producer in hip hop history. Bumpy brings the ruckus on this album. Even the skits at the beginnings of a few tracks I listen to every time. Bumpy informs us of how HipHop heads have forgotten what its about, and how stealing music is detrimental the artist and the culture. We HAVE TO support our artists and producers. Without them, we have no Hip Hop. The last track on here is actually produced by Bumpy himself; and coincidentally is one of the dopest tracks on the record.
Don't listen to the haters. This album has been a long time coming, and a few of the tracks are older, they are still ridiculously good. It is for the classic and hardcore Hip Hop enthusiast. Cop this disc, and enjoy listening to some legends of the culture.
