For over 20 years Premier has stayed true to the craft and hasn't changed for fuckin nothing or nobody. If you can't respect that, you got something wrong with ya. Name: Josh (Posted: 5/22/2012 10:58:00 PM; Partial IP: 195.124.73) Location: NJ Comment: Premier is the greatest producer of all time; produced almost 700 songs and unlike dre doesn't have his "co-producer" sue him and/or leave every few years to be replaced by another clown; he does his beats on his own. You can say his drums sound the same but that's like rock fans saying all rolling stones songs sound alike. Having said that this album isn't great, he's got songs from 10 years ago, repeats that he's already released (like who would cop this that didn't have the konexion already?) It's mostly premo scraping the barrel with freddie delivering freestyles on a lot of songs, more of a mixtape than an album but nonetheless its still better than most albums this year. |

Name: chad (Posted: 4/29/2012 9:34:00 AM; Partial IP: .49.80.158) Location: USA Comment: premier is washed up. gave foxx all his wack throwaways. not one classic beat on here that isn't at least 10 years old. preem is such a disappointment these days. foxx was never a great emcee and now he's an old washed up bitter rapper that thinks he's better than he is. seriously boring album. the greatest producer of all time releases another forgettable album with a mediocre emcee no one cops. tough times. premier needs to tapout. be honest with yourselves, this album sucks. imagine if you heard this right after the ownerz or moment of truth, you'd think preem fell off which he did. |

I'm not saying either of them are wack. i'm saying THEY BOTH CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS. so a good amount of decent tracks, but too many weak ones. good to see Nas and Premo on the same track again. and that's just about all I got to say about this album. still a fan of both artists, this one just goes on my "meh..." list. not too bad... not too great... |

Name: E-RokStEadY (Posted: 4/8/2012 10:20:00 AM; Partial IP: .134.47.38) Location: NorthEast Comment: This album brings classic boom bap to the present. Finally we have a total clooabo album with Premo & Bumpy. Kolexxxion is laced with hard hittin' beats, courtesy DJ Premier; who is widely considered to be the best producer in hip hop history. Bumpy brings the ruckus on this album. Even the skits at the beginnings of a few tracks I listen to every time. Bumpy informs us of how HipHop heads have forgotten what its about, and how stealing music is detrimental the artist and the culture. We HAVE TO support our artists and producers. Without them, we have no Hip Hop. The last track on here is actually produced by Bumpy himself; and coincidentally is one of the dopest tracks on the record.
Don't listen to the haters. This album has been a long time coming, and a few of the tracks are older, they are still ridiculously good. It is for the classic and hardcore Hip Hop enthusiast. Cop this disc, and enjoy listening to some legends of the culture.

Not every producer can make a fire ass beat every single time. Premier has stayed REAL for over 20 years, hasn't changed his sound a bit! Hasn't tried to go commercial or any of that bullshit!! Premier deserves the most respect out of any hip hop producer or rapper. He has stayed and will always stay true to the artform. As long as he is here, so is hip hop... |

Negative reviews are always welcome. However, when you start talking about how everything an artist does is garbage, then don't make reviews. Talk to Preem on twitter or something if you have a problem. I'm sure he will let you know what time it is. This isn't just to one person, this goes out to all people seem to have gotten sour grapes over the new Premo. That raw 90s ish isn't coming back. We are in the era of monopoly capitalism, folks. The sound of hip hop has been watered down by giant corporations. Competition has disappeared. Money/capital is tight. This ish ain't like the 90s no more, that's how it is, so we are going to have to either work with it, or call it a day. |

If you want to enjoy then turn it up! My only question and only relevant thing I've read on here yet is where is the Zach De La Rocha guest appearance??? Both Preemo and Bumpy said he was gonna actually be the only gest spot but now we got Nas and Flav... Excited for them too but was really looking forward to hearing Zach on a DJ Premier beat! Hopefully he makes the cut... |

It takes a while for a label to get off the ground, it takes proper planning....he prob dont' wanna rush nothing.....so chill out and let the master do his job. |

Premo is undeniable, a better producer than a business man.
That he did nothing than weak tracks lately is completely insane - what about the tunes he did for Reks, Edo G. & Evidence? Chill out 'til the album drops! |

I dissed premier, for being washed up, giving bumpy his throwaway shit. premier has a label and can't put any of his projects out, he hypes them up and never drops them. he's getting outworked by guys like statik selektah, who is an inferior version of premier. the game passed him by. he's still talking about the nas project, that's never going to happen. he's talking about pete rock vs premier, that's never going to happen. he's talking about a whole lot of shit that's never going to happen. he gave bumpy tracks from the beats that collected dust series that every premier fan has already heard. p.a.i.n.e. is like 10 years old, so is the nas track. premier still has fans that dickride everything he does, he's lazy, he doesn't even try anymore. he's content doing his radio thing, going state to state getting paid to spin his old shit. he used to be the man of few words, now he does nothing but talk about shit that's never going to happen. last I heard he was excited about doing a track for chris brown, did stuff for mac miller. he'll get up for that. premier is washed up, I don't care if he's a legend, he's got one foot in and one foot out and he's dropping a ton of weak half ass shit. year round records has existed for a decade and he's dropped like one album through it. clueless. |

these guys who talk bad about of Bumpy, sure is some newbie who does not know and does not appreciate these great mcs, and primo mm yea for sure no make same great beats like in 90s but no is garbage, still sound real scense of good hip hop, no comercial shit |

I have 0 expectations for this shit cuz I can tell you just by looking at the tracklist this album will feature songs and beats primo fans have already heard. premier has been living off his legacy a long time now, dropping a ton of wack shit cuz he's shot. you can say he's keepin it real and dropping real hip hop but n reality he's dropping stuff that isn't very good for rappers that aren't very good living off his legend status. |

That and Premo is Premo. He has been what we in the HipHop world refer to as consistent. Consistent does not necessarily equal bad. We like Premo the way always was... rough cuts and scratches and raw beat mining. Keep up teh good work. I expect new school fans (NOT to be confused with fans of new school will tak about Premo's stuff that is ten years old that they HEARD... I say LIVE it Homie. Go there and be there and then when you get there tell the late 90s (which is actually teh time you are likely speaking of...) I wish they were back. Either this will be hot or Premo is not putting his best foot forward. The way he produced GURU is NOT the way he will produce ANYONE else. Chemistry was unmatched!!! Live on. |

We are at war sounds like a good title, but when you hear the beat you can't be anything but disappointed. Primo needs to step his game up because 6 of 10 of his beats last 6 years have been pretty much lame. I dont give a fuck if its "real" hip-hop because if you ain't bringing it you just ain't. |

Man, what can I say? I'm an old school guy, therefore I can truly affirm that Bumpy Knuckles is not one of the best MC's I've heard during the last 20 years.
Who's Lil Wayne and 50 Cent? Never heard of them :) |

hehe, ok sure u prefer lil wayne and 50cent.
Bumpy is GREAT and about of premo, has maintained the essence of good hip hop |

Premis not changed his style in the last years, it sounds like 10 years ago. That's not entirely bad, I'm just sayin' that he must change something, in order to improve the beat...
Bumpy is not the greatest MC on the planet, in my opinion he is average.
Anyway, it will be interesting to hear an entirely album produced by Premo. |
