Comment: this album was an upset , who helped this make it an ok album was Raekwon , Rakaa ,Premo , Alc and Fame . but ev allowing "jesus diarrhea I mean holyshit" from rass kass's verse destroyed "the red carpet" come on yo! really ? u thought that was clever ? smh . last verse on #10 was also allowed by ev , wtf was that cat even saying #nonsence , last verse on "where you come from?" was garbage aswell . and those mistakes is what killed the album for me . keep it boombap!!!!

Comment: Ive been a fan of evidence ever since I copped the work the angles 12 inch when it dropped way back in the day. I always enjoyed his voice, lyrics and flow. The first two dilated LPs are personal favorites and his debut weatherman album was classic in my opinion. Even the layover ep has some good qualities. Now we fast forward to this, cats and dogs LP. I really wanted to like this album but there is something holding me back and I think I know what it is. The arrogant little step brother ALC, yes the alchemist. ALC used to be one of my favorites now I can barely listen to this dudes work. I am sick of this computer ass electronic bullshit. I know many producers need to grow and experiment with their craft but alchemists creations over the last few years belongs in a pot and pan museum cuz thats how they sound to me, pots and pans dropping on the floor. Dont get me wrong he surprisely offers up one great track "the red carpet" which is ridiculous and vintage ALC. The rest however are writeoffs and polluting evidence's creativity. Well nough of that, just had to get that off my chest. Now the positive, there are some nice tracks on here and evidence's lyrics although not as personal as his previous efforts still does a decent job. I did cop the physical although if I gave my mp3 copy a more thoro listen a probaly would of held out. Atleast the cd digibook looks nice. Bottom line if you enjoy evidence then you will find something to like here, just be careful of the puddles..enjoy

Comment: This album is a classic in my opinion I can relate evidence cause iam from L.A and I used to be a graff writer. Alot of the shit he spits is only meant for people from L.A alot of other people would not even understand it but he also spits for motherfuckers worldwide cause that fool be touring like motherfucker.I wish he would of done more of his own production on this but the beats are still solid. My favorite tracks are strangers, fame, well runs dry,the epilogue, and the red carpet. I had only 12 bucks in my pocket and had the decision to buy something to eat or buy this album at best buy for 9.99 I bought this fucken album well worth it!! BY the way ev is not buket from tko but he is from A.W.R....

Comment: i thought the 4 second interlude was a dumb idea. that track DJ Premier did called Epilogue wasnt that great, it was the same exact sample on U-God's Train Trussle. the only thing different is the drums. those are the only 2 things I dont like about this album. other than that, it's a very solid release. that joint "You" was off the chain!!! but my favorite track was The Red Carpet. Alchemist always comes with that heat, i'm almost never disappointed in Alchemist beats. plus it has a lot of dope features... gotta say, i'm feelin this album.

Rakaa last year, Ev this year, this album bangs from beats to wordplay, cadence and tones, amazing balance of Hip Hop the culture, Rap the art, yes I agree 1 or 2 tracks get lost in the mix, but as a collective album make sit clear Hip Hop is quite possibly the greatest Culture never spoken of

Comment: Droopy: "you" is clearly not the only banger on this disc homie. I am a huge premo fan, and I will tell you that "you" isnt even in the top 3 beats on this disc. red carpet could easily be the best beat on the record. why do people nit pick on every single little thing on peoples music? why would anyone rate this album 2? I mean, everyone is entitled to their own opinions but shit man, this record is legit. Kalim, apathys new album is dope but its not better than eastern philosphy in my opinion. I would go ahead and say that this album is up there with honkey kong. Phuc.Yew, you know your stuff from prior postings but pure ignorance out your mouth about "mr. boring slowflow". Rappin fiend, doesnt every album that comes out "need more bangers"? I think this albume is sufficient enough though. Brian, "not feeling it", you must be dead..plain in simple. and finally, hwrw, what? your just to stupid to address. go bump your drake album. im not on EV's nuts, just recognize a well put together album. bigups EV!

I mean honestly, the critics on here need to come out with their own albums and compare. oh wait, the "critics" on here dont have albums to compare too.
