Comment: How can you deny Slug’s tormented lyrical delivery and Murs (it’s simple but it’s just Murs) back up vocals? Would've liked to see Grouch give it his all but I guess you cant win them all. This duo is a definite in all-time greats. And these assholes are definite REAL hip-hop historians. F*ck Christina and f*ck Lucy, dumb hoes!

Summary: Dissapointing.
Comment: I’m a big Slug fan (I get to see him and others on tour in Providence in two more nights while I’m writing this as a matter of fact) and what I have heard from Murs has been nice. This project should not have been made. Lyrically, not bad at all, but the production is very bland, not enough sample work at all. I’m not hating, it’s just when great artists make disappointing material it hits closer to home and you end up disliking them more than wack material from a garbage artist. Some may like it- power to you. This is not my cup of hot chocolate or my pack of blacks. |

Comment: Damn, did I look forward to this sh*t? Slug, one of my big rap-heroes, and Murs is also a big favorite. These two together? Unbeatable. But wait, someone let the Grouch in and just watched him f*ck everything up. Sorry Grouch, your older stuff is all good, but these new beats suck ol' dirty's sneakers or some sh*t. Okay, it's an EP, but it's too damn short. I would have liked to get more material, that would have given me a better impression. And Slug, honestly, you can sing a whole lot better than that. You almost killed my cat, wanna be a catkiller? Don't think so. Dump Christina and get back with Lucy and it's all gully. |
