The Ghostface Ironman box set was an exact replica of the Nas Illmatic set because they are part of a "Gold Edition Series" of classic records. Having a 4xLP edition of liquid swords with a chess set makes sense for record store day. If you hate it, just pass my man. There are other ways to grab the songs and instrumentals. | Name: Freshman_Woes (Posted: 3/3/2013 5:34:00 PM; Partial IP: 248.235.43) Location: Vandenberg Village, CA Comment: It seems like Get On Down peaked with the OBFCL re-issue. Everything since has been them re-hashing ideas they've already used. | Name: Excrement (Posted: 3/2/2013 6:21:00 PM; Partial IP: 08.38.80.2) Location: California Comment: I dont mind paying near 50 bucks for this, but I dont give 2 shits for a chess set. Just give me the main+instr. 4xlp yo | Name: Boom Bam Peww (Posted: 3/2/2013 8:21:00 AM; Partial IP: 90.101.217) Location: Ding Dong Corner Comment: Is Get On Down out of fresh ideas already? The Ghostface Ironman boxset was an exact replica of the NAS Illmatic boxset. As a bonus to that they offer the already re-released Ironman vinyl as a bundle deal. Now they re-re-re-issue this Liquid Swords album for the 3rd time on their own label with instrumentals and the same chess set and the same black vinyl they've already released once already. I personally don't mind them putting out some gimmicky stuff because sometimes I like it but it seems like they are selling themselves out at this point. |
