Item Summary
Heltah Skeltah, comprised of Sean Price and Rock, are a legendary hip hop group hailing from Brooklyn, NY. The duo's first album, 'Nocturnal,' released on Duck Down/ Priority Records in 1995, sold over 400,000 units world-wide. It has been ten years since Heltah Skeltah last released a group project, however as solo artists, the duo has remained heavily active.
Sean Price, ½ of Heltah Skeltah, has developed a cult-like following in the underground hip hop scene. Having released two titles since 2005, 'Monkey Barz' and 'Jesus Price Superstar,' Sean Price was named Independent Artist of the Year in 2006 and 2007, awarded by XXL Magazine, AllHipHop.com and Source Magazine.
Furthermore, Heltah Skeltah are part of the mighty Boot Camp Clik, also comprised of Buckshot and Smif-N-Wessun. Boot Camp Clik have two recent projects, 'The Last Stand' and 'Casualties of War.' With all this current activity and momentum, Heltah Skeltah are truly poised to be 'Da Incredible Rap Team.'

Comment: I'm a big fan of heltah skeltah & da boot camp clik, but this album really dissapointed me. There is a few dope tracks on it but my expectations were very high on "beatwise." when u have top-notch producers like: khrysis,m-phazes,Marco polo,& ill mind I would expect BANGIN' beats, but this time they didn't come thru 4 me. Evidences beat was clean.

Comment: Very diaspointing to say the least. Shame on the producers, but they are rhyming about the same thing all the time. No concepts at all, they are just dropping average 16's on the tracks. Their chemistry is not like Tek + Steele when making albums. This is gonna hurt Rock a lot more than Ruck if they stop HS because P can make dope albums like Monkey Barz. And hes got the Random Axe thing as well. Single was nice so were tracks 3,4,5, but thats it.

Comment: I personally thought this album was dope. Some of the comments about this are completely corny. In the times of hip-hop lacking this came at a crucial time. Khrysis is dope, evidence is one of my favorites and heltah skeltah are one of the best duos period. must by album.

Comment: for u lames talking shit about SP sean price said himself he raps about shit like that cause it sounds tight.. theres really no difference in how mainstream rappers and underground rappers rap except for styles. mainstream and underground hip hop artist say bitches, hoes, n*ggas, guns, drugs, and whatever else hip hop is too broad to categorize in 2 groups(maintstream+underground)

Comment: While certainly not bad, it could and should have been alot better. Sean P did his thing while Rock on the other hand came off uninspired and plain wack at times. Back in the days people used to complain about Magnum Force all the time. But ever since this shit dropped I haven't heard a peep anymore. Magnum Force is a classic compared to this.

Comment: This album is great. All the people complaining about it should have a listen on here before buying it. You can't please everyone all the time. I think people want every album to sound exactly the same as the artist did in the 90s. Be real, are you the same person that you were in the 90s? If so you are lame and probably still live with your mom.

Comment: I haven't heard Heltah since Nocturnal, and yes I love that damn album. Missed out on Magnum Force(heard that was dope). I was weary about DIRT, but rather than just go with the he/she say, I checked out a few snipets, and the album isn't half bad. Yes the cover was on some WTF shit, but given the album is titled, "Da Incredible Rap Team," it makes sense. The album is solid. Grown man opinion for you kids still using your parent's credit card.

Comment: solid rhymes from Rock and Ruck, great production on the first half, but the whole thing starts to get repetitive and uninspired by the second half. they coulda lost tracks 10-13 and had a much tighter, though shorter, overall album - maybe 14 too, but the video cracks me up, so I kinda dig it. most likely nothing these two ever release again will be as hot as Nocturnal, but I'm glad to hear them trying at least.

Comment: This shit is da bomb mane. I luh hearin dem raw raps ova sum fluffy ole twinkly keyBORED beats. Rock definitely does not have one of the most annoying voices and flows and Sean P. does not sound uninspired as fuck on this album. Also, this album does not suck ass and the people who dig this bullshit have wonderful taste in Hip-Hop. Gimme a break, this album sounds like what Buckshot's mothers' used tampons probably taste like.

Comment: This album is heat!!! HS gets mad lyrical and grimy and attack these tracks with mad intensity. The beats also got the bump to carry Ruck and Rock throughout most of the album as well. Most of all, Heltah really strengthened their bars from when they first started until now.

I WANNA KNOW WHAT YA THINK ABOUT THE ALBUM NOT WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT KKK COMMENTS. ANYWAYS I HEARD TRACK TWO ON DJ ECLIPSES RADIO SHOW AND I THOUGHT IT WAS HOT. THAT BEAT IS TIGHT AND THE CHORUS IS FUNNY BUT CATCHY. IT HAS NO LONGEVITY THOUGHT. AS FOR THE REST OF THE ALBUM I DONT REALLY KNOW IT MIGHT NOT FALL UNDER THE CLASSICS CATEGORY BUT AT LEAST WE STILL HAVE PIONEERS THAT ARE WILLING TO KEEP REAL HEADS ENTERTAINED. But it's just really evident that you're a shit talker with nothing physical to back it up. hm let me profile you-You are about 20, live off mommy & daddy's money. You think anybody can rap, that if you were a rapper you could spit better than all these cats because you're so emo pathetic and frail. (somebody agree with me here, it's that obvious). Fags like you writin KKK and shit on a hip hop website proves you some racist dumbass with no hip hop credability you snitch ass joke. Maybe instead of dick riding Sean P you could pretend some whitebread Sage Francis Doseone rappers' dicks were hatracks and hang your asshole on one. haha faggot. Comment: Everybody needs to chill with throwing words like "classic" when talking about albums. Just cuz it's Ruck and Rock don't mean it's gonna be a banga. True heads knows this.

Comment: When ever my boys and I sit down and talk about our top 10 albums of all time I always say that "Nocturnal" has to be mentioned. They followed up strong with Magnum Force too. I hope they don't follow the state of hip hop now but bring it back to what they do best... spit that raw shit!

Comment: Yo, Ima tell it like it is, dog. From looking at the producer list, unfortunately, I think this will be just another average hip hop album, just like everything else that has come out in the past 6 or 7 years. How can this album be cohesive with such a wide range of producers? I mean, Alchemist, then Evidence, then Khyris? Huh? It really sucks that nothing is original anymore. I don't give a fuck what anyone says, Magnum Force was a classic! Why can't they just have one or two producers doing the work like they did on that album? I've been a fan of these dudes since Nocuturnal. Can't we have another Nocuturnal, some original shit? These dudes are too good to put out a bullshit album. All you people can hate on my comment now, but watch and see how average this album comes out to be. Just watch...
