    Summary

The most anticipated new group of the decade, La Coka Nostra, breathes new life into an industry stale and dying. With their guerilla style marketing and merchandising and raw forceful music, LCN provides an outlet for fans who have been deprived of hardcore Hip Hop music. With the release of "Black Metal", La Coka Nostra's Everlast, Slaine, Big Left and DJ Lethal appear throughout the release, but the focus is on fellow crew member and former Non Phixion front man ILL BILL. While awaiting his own sophomore solo release "The Hour Of Reprisal", BILL is represented on every track on "Black Metal" along with guest appearances by Styles P of D-Block, O.C., Jeru The Damaja, Sick Jacken of Psycho Realm, Q-Unique, Killah Priest, Sabac Red (Non Phixion) and Brooklyn Academy. With production from ILL BILL himself, DJ Lethal, MoSS, Sicknature, Khrome, Will Fulton, DJ FM, Q-Unique and Dug Infinite, this album is a must have for all the La Coka heads representing hardcore Hip Hop in 2007.

Comment: Good album and I especially liked "Soldiers Of Fortune". Song has same kind of vibes that 7L&Esoteric had in their song: Operating Correctly (feat Mr.Lif).

Comment: I'm actually giving it 3 1/2 but since there's no option for it. After listening to THOR, I decided to get back into this release and it's pretty slept on. There are a few really wack tracks, but there's also about 5 or 6 incredible dope ones. 3 Wise Men, Darkness Deepens, Black Metla, Soldiers Of Fortune, and Broken Pieces are the standout tracks for me. Jeru kills both his guest spots as well. Very solid mixtape in my opinion.
