Item Summary
As a founding member of Staten Island's Wu-Tang Clan, it's not an overstatement to say this is a man who changed the game. Now straight from the slums of Shaolin Inspectah Deck is back with Manifesto, his best solo effort to date. Long regarded as one of Hip Hop's most gifted MC's, Deck is joined on Manifesto by Raekwon, Billy Danze of M.O.P, Termanology, Cormega, Kurupt and many more. Deck takes a hands on approach to the beats, personally producing several cuts and overseeing all production. Many of the beats are based on live tracks laid down by the same line up of musicians (The Revelations) behind 2009's Wu-Tang Chamber Music. In addition to stellar appearance throughout the Wu catalog and solo efforts, Deck is also known for his appearances on all time classic albums such as Big Pun's "Capital Punishment," Gangstarr's "Moment of Truth" and Pete Rock's "Soul Survivor." Further, his own solo efforts are some of the best to ever arise from the Wu-Tang camp. Now is the time for Inspectah Deck to deliver truth to the world of Hip Hop. This is his Manifesto.

Comment: I really like Inspectah Deck, I think hes pretty damn good, but my problem with this album was the fucking beats. I don't think there is one beat on this album I like. Deck is good, these beats are comlete GARBAGE though, raps good, production not so much

Comment: this album isnt 5/5, I just feel like it needs to be redeemed from bad reviews. its more like a 3.5/5 honestly, but not wack. anyone who says these albums are wack must have very very VERY high standards. I dont get whats so wack about it... I mean, just because its not an instant classic doesnt make it wack. it wasnt his best album, but it definitely was FAR from terrible. this was a pretty dope album, and i'm glad I actually spent money on it. I want Deck to keep doing his thing.

Comment: 3.5 stars. Would have been 4 but some of the hooks, especially track nine had me thinking I was listening to some Radio Rap Crap. Thankfully, as soon as Deck starts rhyming, all is well. The beats are decent overall in my opinion. Not sure why so many people hated on it. I would put this ahead of the new Wu that appears to have several skits, 2 or 3 love songs and only about 4 good tracks. Props to one of the Legends. Happy to have bought this one off I-tunes.

Comment: This album is so far from garbage. Its not up to INS's high standards but its still knockin and most importantly, Deck is a superior MC and writer. The Champion and the Cormega collabo start the album off with a bang but things get stale until the second half of the album with bangers like Really Real and 5 Star G. New Deck fans buy an older album.Old supporters, support support!

Comment: Pretty disappointing to see no production from the Wu camp. A little RZA here, some 4th Disciple there, Tru Master, Mathematics wouldn't hurt at all (with the exception of ALC of course). I see Deck's tryin somethin different but he's better off stickin with the Wu format.

Comment: all rite you little kids, deck is no joke, uncontrolled substance, classic wu-album, had ill beats from true master, 4th disciple, rza and pete rock, the movement, raw album ayatollah killed that ish, resident patient was alright rzs and psycho les had ill beats, and now manifesto not bad at all, def, not one star, deck comes hard lyrically but production lacks without a doubt, 9th chamber track is hot and any track with planet asia is fire, deck has carried a solo album before and he's done it again so step off you children pay respects to the masters, would love to c deck back with 4th and true master, that would make all you haters love deck

Comment: finally people have heard it. As I said earlier I am a person who thinks deck is one of the best, lyrically. But while he does have some tuff lyrics on here, the beats are wack. Track 1 his flow is flat out awful. That is not Deck that we are familiar with. Track 2and3 are the albums best, after that,i kept forwarding tracks to find a banger, and couldnt.I really wanted to like this cd,but just cannot. No more than 2.5 0r 3 stars.

Comment: I must say, Deck doesn't shine by himself. It is as if he is rhyming against himself. To catch the younger generation's ear like Jay Z, he needs to compromise his production. Other than that he is a great underground artist. But he needs help.

Comment: Deck is a lyrical beast, read his lyrics on this as a book and its incredible (OHHLA) ... but as an album, project, or sessions, its really not worth giving stars ... Rza? Wu?

Comment: What the PHUK is going on???? Deck used to be one of the best... USED to be. It sucks to have to say that. I am (as I stated) a fan of his MIC skills but he would probably do himself some good to gain ALL creative control of his shit. If he HAS it then I am sorrowfully disappointed that he chilled in the studio, nodded his head to ANY of this and then was like... YEAHHHhhhhh... THAT one... that one RIGHT there, and then drops THIS trash... he should have deposited it the phukkin' dust bank for a much needed transfusion of raw uncut dopeness... instead he released it to the world and likely committed brandy new career suicide. Good job Deck. Sorry bro... blurring the vision of all bystanders as I PASS.

Comment: This album is 100% BUTT CRUST. When wannabe Friday the 13th Jason get's Wu-Tang cock-snot off his lips and out his ears, he will finally admit to himself that Lars is 100% right.

Comment: Uhhh doesn't he know that Chamber Music was wack and not at all well recieved. They should let Raekwon oversee all production. He knows how to select the ill beats!

Comment: Wu Tang died long ago. It's a shame they continue to release wack materials. The last good release, ODB was still alive. It's pointless to have hope, dudes don't have it anymore. I better go back to the 36 chamber...

Comment: How I get music early is highly illegal so I will not go into details. If I like it, I will buy it. If not, I will just trash it on UGHH. This album sucks. I bet will will not get higher than 2.3 on UGHH.

Comment: I did check this out on Amazon, and as 1 of the biggest Deck fans alive,i am completely let down. This guy whole style switched up,on the intro, and a few tracks he trying to rhyme fast like luda do. WOW,and the song "The Champion" is one of Alchemists worst beats. This album,as LARS said,is his worst so far,by far. WTF deck??????

Comment: I have this already and it is W-A-C-K. Deck is now GARBAGE...he has not had a good release in over a decade. Deck you are washed up. Do not make solo joints. Save your best 16 bars for Wu Tang albums otherwise, stay at home and be daddy day care.

Comment: The hype says this should be dope. I appreciate the hype man but there is always a job all of them had been chosen specifically to do. On THAT note, I hope the word isn't a bunch of "hype" tp peak my waning expectation. I LOVE this dude on the MIC and I pray he delivers. Chef proved it is inssanely possible and I trust that Deck will do his best not to disappoint. I'm waiting for this. I do very much anticipate its arrival and am hoping to melt this $hit to vapor in my changer.
