Name: 1+1= (Posted: 1/3/2012 3:10:00 AM; Partial IP: 3.88.91.14) Location: TWO Comment: PRODUCTION ON THIS ALBUMN IS ONE OF THE BEST EVER DONE FOR HIP HOP. I CANT IMAGINE HOW ANY PRODUCER WOULD WANT TO CONTINUE HIS "CAREER" MAKING "BEATS" AFTER HEARING THIS... ITS OVER. HIP HOP IS DONE. STOUP PUSHED IT TO THE MOST CONVOLUTED AND PROBABLY WHY HE LEFT HIP HOP ALSO. LISTEN TO THE TRACK KUBLAI KHAN... THE PERCUSSION IS ALMOST VOID IN THE PRESENCE OF STRINGS AND BRASS....HARD TO DO IN A GENRE WHICH IS HEAVILY PERCUSSION BASED. |

Name: MeNaCe666 (Posted: 11/9/2003 7:36:00 PM) Summary: What The F*ck Comment: This is ridiculous. The production was wack, but the rhymes were somewhat good. This album sucks! |
Name: etienne (Posted: 10/27/2003 6:50:00 AM) Summary: Not The Best Of The 3 Ones Comment: This album is good but quickly boring compared to the 2 others. It comes from repetitive lyrics and too commercial latino samples; one sounds like "la rhumba" in Wu Tang killabees "The Sting". But there are very good songs too. It 's just I like JMT and I don't want them to fall in a commercial way. |
Name: preston maddox III (Posted: 10/21/2003 10:09:00 PM) Summary: Rooks Smokes Crack! Comment: How did commercialism kill this album? I agree, Violent is dope, but stop hatin, dude! This Album's production/lyrics are off the hook. As for Canibus, he's been garbage. |
Name: Rooks007 (Posted: 10/7/2003 10:53:00 AM) Summary: Comercialism Destroys Another Great Group. Comment: Skip this album and listen to “Violent by Design” again. Even Canibus delivers a poor verse. |
Name: overcast (Posted: 9/23/2003 4:30:00 PM) Summary: Excellent Production, But Desperately In Need Of Good Lyricists Comment: I believe that Stoupe’s production is amazing, almost too amazing. A lot of the music sounds almost familiar, but I could be wrong. I wonder what kind of musical background he has encountered. Vinne Paz is good, but the overall lyrical structure is gapped. I believe Jedi's last album, "Violent by Design," was much more successful in filling in the gaps. Overall, "Visions of Ghandi" sounds good with the production and angry Paz, but I really didn't learn something from the album. Vinnie Paz sounds like Vinnie Paz, which means he really didn't develop any different skills lyrically. I believe lyricists should transform with the more years they put into the music scene. |
Name: mastarule (Posted: 9/20/2003 12:31:00 PM) Summary: Sick, sicker, sickest Comment: Yo! It's as if these guys dont know how to make a "subpar" album. Stoupe's production is spine-chilling (but when have they not been!) and Paz is still a f-ing cutthroat lyricist. Two Thumbs and Two Big Toes up! |
Name: dedi (Posted: 9/14/2003 4:26:00 PM) Summary: Excellent Comment: Man this stuff is really good, I dont know why would Jus-Allah left JMT but after hearing this I don't think they need him at all. This stuff is excellent. |
Name: lowprofile (Posted: 9/10/2003 9:34:00 PM) Summary: Not Bad At All... Comment: To tell you the truth, this album was a pleasant surprise...Paz isn't the greatest, but Stoupe is a sick producer...If you like rugged beats with uninspired (but intense) lyrics, you'll love this. |
Name: preston maddox III (Posted: 9/8/2003 12:18:00 AM) Summary: "anyone F*ckin Wit Paz Can Die Tryin" Comment: This is definitely the illest sh*t I’ve heard in a while, and that's sayin’ something considering Gang Starr's new sh*t just came out. Vinnie Paz brings his usual raw rhymes, "I hate your mother and father because they made you/ I hate the universe because it create you/ I hate anyone and anything that embrace you/ Who f*ckin’ raised you?/ You a f*ckin’ disgrace/ And if you come around my way u get bucked in the face/ Get it straight to the face/ Then i'll whack youwith razors, knives, guns and what have you." And don't let me forget the production…Stoupe murders the whole f*ckin’ album, word! Please don’t sleep, this is the best f*ckin album to drop in a minute! |
Name: Scribe the Devine (Posted: 9/7/2003 7:40:00 PM) Summary: Not Violent By Design Comment: There were many good collaborations in this album, but Vinnie Paz was just par. That doesn't mean he is an average MC, but compared to his past productions (ie "Violent by Design") this was garbage. The production was flawless tho'..big-ups to Stoupe. One. |
Name: kineticmindz (Posted: 9/4/2003 11:05:00 PM) Summary: Steadly Shine !!!!!!!! Comment: Oh my God, this CD is the illest of 2003, 2004, 2005 all that sh*t...I swear every track is ill...no bullsh*t, just straight raw, dope rhymes .....Jedi Mind forever baby! |
