Comment: if ur a true die hard fan of any artist u should know the DNA making of the production how and what tools it takes to make the goods. u should also know the politics of the industry in its time and what circumstances and conditions of the times it was in in order to get to the consumer. u should also find out who's who that inspires the artist to do what they do. the older the better, that only says they are grounded by historical facts. most fans dont go that far to understand what linage of the artist come from to be who they are now. most mainstream fans have this sort of tunnel vision limited to just the mainstream spoon fed by just the obvious and usually dont have any idea to dig for great music meant to be hidden only a few know about its existence. there are many artists that create the range and depth of the particular music. dont be surprised if ur favorite artists listens to music outside of the box from the type of music they make. if ur interests only focuses only on one artist and you put them on a pedestal because u were a victim of the hype... then u are a victim of ur own ignorance by default because u neglect the fact that there are other great artists who make good music, but we all are bias somehow.
