Comment: Without doubt the most stellar hip hop release this year, even beating most artists proper albums. It might be a compilation in sorts but this is a MED album to me, while always nice wit the lyrics, the beats on here are the REAL star attraction, every single track is sublime and show that real hip hop is still in full effect. One particular mention should go to the track "Purest" prod. by Houseshoes... prolly the illest beat I heard in a long time... Oddisee continues to stake a claim as the top hip hop producer by churning out another gem with "R.E.M" and even Alchemist surprises us by creating one hell of a smooth beat with "Bounce Back", Dibiase should also get a mention, up coming producer, very underrated. Every one delivers on this album lyrically and musically. Well done MED... 2011 is finally seeing some dope releases now, Count Bass D & Insight, Kool G Rap, CunninLynguists, Neek & Pro... Yeah man, I'm hungry again! |
