I originally had 4 stars, but compared to all the other better albums of 2010, this one is startin to run last. I've always liked Rae and Ghost the most..never really gave a fuck about Meth, dunno why. Well if you know your good hip hop and have been listening to Wu-tang for a long time you'll know that these beats are extremely forgettable. Ghost and Rae are always dope lyrically, but this album is first too short, second it is way too overhyped. third..the beats suck, I cant remember one single track from it although I have listned through it several times. Come on people you know this deep in yourself that its very rushed and short and just not good produced enough for these great emcees. |

This album is a waste. Bascially not even a mixtape.
Method man-has been complaining about his label rushing his albums for over 10 years now and continues to give us half ass albums.
Raekwon-almost has now destroyed the fire he has regained by the amazing Cuban Linx 2 cd with this.
Ghostface-just clocking in and clocking out on this album0just send him his check.
Wu needs to do something0the true hip hop heads arent going to buy their new stuff forever based off their great past-and I am one of them for sure... |

Name: The Cookie Man (Posted: 4/1/2010 4:10:00 PM; Partial IP: 225.69.207) Location: Belleville, USA Comment: In my opinion, this is a step in the right direction for the Wu. The tracks that stick out the most for me are Meth vs. Chef II, Our Dreams, Gunshowers, and Miranda. I love how RZA chopped up the song to create samples for "Our Dreams". He manipulated the track real nice and the trio just made it better providing lyrical skill. I Love the drums in between the verses on Meth vs. Chef II. I also like how Meth and Rae take turns serving wordplay platters. As compared to Meth vs. Chef 1 on Method Man's "Tical" album were both of them had a verse each. I don't have much to say about the lyrics because Meth, Ghost, and Rae always deliver. I mean com'on they've been in the game since '92. Not to mention the school lunch table freestyles and stair case battles prior. There really isn't much to say. Over all this is a really good release. I must say this though. I for one do not have a problem with the time lenth of the album as it is streight foreward. In the old days of hip-hop there have been plenty of albums that have had 10 tracks or even less for that matter. For example Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five "The Message" only had 8 tracks. And this example even carries on today. Take Murs and 9th Wonder "Murray's Revenge" which topped off at 10 tracks. Heck for that matter the best example of all is the Wu Tang Clan's first album "Enter the Wu Tang(36 Chambers) which topped of at a whopping 13 tracks. And today it is a certified classic. But I digress. I gave the album 4 stars though because a Wu album just isn't a Wu album without the movie sampling. You know what I mean... Bruce Lee movie quotes or even the signature wu-tang series itself. Plus, I would have loved to seen what RZA would have done with just one more track on this album. |

Comment: I don't know about THAT, LARS... this effort is definitely better than any of the latest Wu short of CL2 (which will be long remembered as one of the most well delivered awaited efforts in the history of music). HipHop isn't like a sports team whereas when your TEAM (in this case the Almighty WU) is scrubbin’ you still show support... you are a ride or die “baseball” fan as you are a ride or die HipHop fan BUT when “your team”... not the league but your personal fav TEAM is blowing it you have to continue support. How many gayrods JUMPED on Chicago's dick when Jordan was there like they always loved Chicago... by a round of applause please... and then how many people jumped the phuk OFF of Chicago's dick when he retired??? HipHop is more like THAT. Like I LOVE Wu (did anyway) but if they don't produce... if they don't "win"; I'm OUT!!!! In that respect I will fancy myself a bandwagon jumper… if their music sucks, I ain’t buying and bumping it just because I am a ride or die fan… if it sucks then it just does. Much like the Chicago Jordans without their namesake (shut the phuk up about the barely scraping .500 playoffs last year). Anyway… this effort is more than 3 but less than 4 stars. RZA… DAMN Bobby… get back to the raw and leave the digital $hit for clock-radios. By the way… LAKERS since Cooper wore socks pulled up to his balls. |

There's a good number of classic albums that are short, but have about 9-12 hard-hitting consistent songs. I'd rather take that and put it on repeat, than to keep skipping through 18-24 tracks with fillers. Hats off of the illest MC's of the Wu... |

Criminology is a banger and there is some classic Wu joints on it. My biggest beef is with Ty Fyffe for the "Smooth Sailing" joint. He totally bites Brother Ali's "Room With a View" that Ant produced years ago. |

Album has a hard hitting throwback classic Wu soulful groovy feel to it not unlike Supreme Clientele in spots...Not enough of Rae on some of the tracks but Mef and Ghost are killin it yo. Deck shines on Youngstown...Its actually more like a decent ghostface album with his Theodore unit posse (think Fishscale or more fish, Big doe Rehab) Def. not as poppin as Cubin Linx II though. Again too short but sumthin to tie us wu fans over for a while...

As for comments from Takini? You are indeed entitled to express your opinion on this project and Cuban linx II, but why label people as jokes for their personal taste?
Cuban Linx 11 may not be a classic to many but its still a pretty decent release to me amongst others. You may think that Wu are finished but each to their own! If everyone shared the same taste in music the world would be an even more shit place to live in!!!
