Comment: Production is solid, a little flat sometimes, not always great though. To me it's apparant Moe Pope can't carry an album by himself. He hasn't got a dope voice, so you get tired of his style pretty quick. His lyrical content is above average though. I can definitely see why people dig this CD but to me it's still lacking. That's good news in the way there's still room for improvement. |

Comment: one of the greatest works of music to ever come outta Boston though it also transcends the local level as one of the dopest emcee/producer albums this side of the millenium, mad ill chemistry. this is the pure essence; honest, classic hip hop. and while the love shown in the comments is great to see, y'all shouldn't be comparing a vet like Moe Pope to swaggerfied freshmen like lupe FiascoGate & j.cole, Moe's been laying it down for years with a substantial body of work including bangers like Mission, Project Move, & Electric along w/ the banger Megaphone. Rain's production is for the soul, duder approaches his soundscapes like a true musician. i've prolly rocked this every day since it dropped & it'll stand the tests of time, props y'all! |
