Description: Okay, so self-admittedly, I am a hip-hop dinosaur. If most of my shows are not enough evidence of that, the fact that the NYC Live Throw Down: 1979-1985 is my favorite item at UGHH.com should be proof-positive of my staunch adherence to a generation far from todays music and lifestyles. However, once in a while I will try really hard to demonstrate that I got my ear to the concrete and that I'm not another one of those late 20-something white dudes who cant get his mind off the music/culture of his early 90s pubescence (well frankly, that is me). Yep, even I do the Souljah Boy dance at the club and then go home and get laid to the new Aesop Rock album. Hehehe. Episode 17 of Welfare Radio is a potpourri of my favorite underground (or otherwise) bangers. The new Supreme Team ish is crazy, and of course I had to throw in a cut from the Mick Boogie/Dilla/Busta free mix CD. Plus, I waited a long time to get the Boondocks Season 1 on DVD for $17 at Target (not $45), so in honor of that is the Asheru theme to one of my favorite cartoons. For me, this is basically what is hot right now, the ish you should bump. Oh, had to throw in a shout to Donda West too, and my man from Oregon, Braille, is straight murder on the mic.
