    Summary

The Polyrhythm Addicts began as a collaborative project set up by Nervous records in 1999 that united several talented New York City rappers for one amazing single, "Not Your Ordinary." The overwhelming critical and commercial reception paved the way for a widely regarded hip-hop classic, Rhyme Related, that scanned over 14,000 units before the group disbanded to focus on their individual careers. Over the years, the members have carved out flourishing solo careers and have now reunited for their long awaited sophomore set, Breaking Glass. With Mr. Complex's renowned performances and guest appearances with the likes of Mos Def, Morcheeba, El-P, Talib Kweli, Pharaohe Monch, J-Live and prominent participation on 2000's legendary Spitkicker tour (w/ Common, Talib Kweli, De La Soul & more), DJ Spinna's production work with the likes of Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Pharaohe Monch, De La Soul, Brand Nubian, Guru of Gangstarr, Shabaam Sahdeeq's prominent features on legendary Rawkus releases Lyricist Lounge, Soundbombing & more, along with scorching new member Tiye Phoenix's burgeoning profile as one of today's most promising female emcee/producers (including prominent inclusion in Feb. 2007's issue of Scratch magazine), Breaking Glass marks the long awaited return of a supergroup renowned for its pivotal role in the explosion of late '90's indie hip-hop.

Comment: so what ever happened to Apani B Fly Emcee? I remember that 12' 'Not your Ordinary' and 'Motion 2000' off of the Rhythm Related album on Nervous Wreck, "addictive rhythm multiple sensation motion 2000 takin over the nation" and those days other artist associated to Rawkus who first appeared like L-Fudge with 'What If' and also Network Reps who is also label mates on Nervous in 98 where putin out 12's. and also Wisdom Life & Matt Fingaz 12' 'Fruit of Labor In the Sunshine' early Talib appearances along with 'Manifesto w/Body Rock' before Mos and Talib became Black Star that same year in 98. and also Black Attack (Sean Black) with 'Correct technique', and also Sir Menelik aka Cyclops 4000, Indelible Mc's and Thirstin Howl III Polorican and so on and so on... I remember those times vividly when Anthony Marshal collaborated with Echo Unlimited and some of your Golden Era Heros were posing for Echo Ads in every Hip Hop Magazine in the late 90's before Ecko blew up and all the bandwagoners played it out. I use to think Triple Five Soul was pretty dope. glad I got over my trendy phase... usually the young buy into that skeme. and im glad I matured for the love of the music and how it sounded and not what you expect it to looked like.

Comment: tiye really does allot for this group. mr complex's lack of true "get your point across rap" is a bit annoying.
