Every single song he is just saying random shit, I didn't find one quotable from this muthafucka. And the beats are absolutely trash, no drums whatsoever. If you wanna go to sleep, but this on for real. What is the big deal about Marciano? I literally think he sucks. Someone please tell me one hot thing he ever said.

Comment: Innovative, beats, production and clever use of sampling polished off by Roc's flow. I don't think that you necessarily need loud drums to cap off a decent hiphop album but thats my humble opinion. Anyway highly recommended for those cats looking for a fresh new sound although not the best release of 2012.
However an all round decent sophomore effort!!!

Comment: not the best album but there are some strong tracks on here like "Emeralds", and "pistolier" but most of the beats dont do it for me.....great rhymes he just needs harder hitting more grimy beats cause those are the type he shines on the most imo. This album was better than his first I thought.

Comment: First off you have to be in the right state of mind to really enjoy this. One of them LPs you throw on and sit back and just dab the day away to. That being said I can see how people wouldn't like it. This isn't some dance type shit. This isn't some hype you up to beat some ass music. This is some OG music that doesn't need to front. It just knows it's that fucking hard. The sound quality on the vinyl is pretty decent for modern vinyl. Hard edged digital vocals like every release nowdays. Damn shame. At least the bass isn't overpowering the mids and highs. Overall 7/10 sound quality.

Comment: I understand why some people don't like the beats but can't understand why someone would like the last album and not like this one. Roc's style of beats take some getting use to but I got use to them on the last album and on KA's albums. I think his beats are like this because he puts emphasis on his lyricism and the combination works well. This album is really good and I'm starting to like the fact that all the beats don't follow the same boom bap sound that everyone else uses. Roc in my opinion is one of the best MC's out right now by far. KA is ill as F! also. There will be a bunch more clones coming in the future copying his style of beats and laid back flow just because he's not following trends.

Comment: almost everything he spits is slang but if you understand it, you know he's killin it. minimalist raps and rhymes, raw ish. definitely whats missing in the game right now. when people lace him with the right beats, hes one of the illest, but his self-produced joints leave a bit to be desired. and q-tips beat sucks, what happened? thats all you could lace your man with? monotonous. otherwise a really unique album and hopefully a sign of more to come from the don.

If you're a dope artist you can flip a sample and kill it with out drums (even though there are some in the sample). You need to have cadence and it needs to effortless: Welcome Roc Marc. Comment: it is lacking drums or any real production overall but im really diggin it! its one of those dark moody albums, kind of an acquired taste. its straight up thou. no fillers, no hooks, straight rappin over ill dark samples. couple classics like 76! whew. its definitely a good addition to the collection. I see myself bumpin this shit at night on gloomy days or when smokin up. I agree w d-train on the 3.5stars for now but I can see this growing on me more over time.

Comment: I loved this LP. I totally understand why people wouldn't like it though. It is very monotone and slow paced... But all you need is a lincoln log of the good smoke and a few adult beverages and you'll zone out on an incredible lyrically visual LP. Not for partying or bumpin' down the block this is for sitting on the couch and head noddin' in the dark... So set the proper mood and you'll really enjoy it.

Comment: Love Rocs flow..his voice can make just about any beat better. Some joints like 76 and Nine Spray, are definite bangers, but there is too much "same ol same ol" joints. Is it wack; Not at all, but Roc isn't bringing any newness with this album. Hip-Hop doesn't need drums, but it does need diversity. Keep the style the same, but flip the mood a little. Every joint is a Dolomite mixed with Dirty Harry with some James Bond concoction.
