Item Summary
"Godsville" brings together two Bronx Hip Hop legends; KRS-ONE and Showbiz. Showcasing a production style that is currently featured on projects by Joe Budden, Fabolous, Royce Da 5'9", Lloyd Banks and others, Showbiz (producer of classic Hip Hop hits such as "Soul Clap" and "Sound of the Police") provides a classic yet fresh Bronx production style while KRS-ONE takes it back to the essence of Hip Hop with lyrical contributions equal to those on classic KRS-ONE albums. Recent album reviews are calling this project a "modern classic" and "what Hip Hop has been missing."

Comment: This is a disgrace. I know Show hasn't completely lost his touch but these sound like unfinished, throwaway beats. KRS probably didn't have the balls to let him know the beats were wack. After all, Show is known for his temper in the Bronx. He's beat 2 murder raps before and I know KRS ain't built like that.

Comment: Dissapointing, sure Krs still spits fire, but Shows beats just doesn't do Krs any justice on this album, and thats a real mystery, since these two are legends, in both there areas.

Comment: this album is okay I wouldn't diss the shit out of it like other cats but really the beats are not that bad actually there are pretty good it is the lyrics that are wack..krs was not meant to rhyme slow, sounds like amature mc that just learned english -shit put me to sleep. when krs rhymes fast he is the god comparable to rakim and g rap but when he rhymes slow sounds like shit. start rhyming fast over fast beats and I will cop your music

Comment: This record was ok, nothing great but reading some of the comments on here, let me say this, for someone who has been a massive hip hop fan since the mid 80s, I can easily say you young internet fans ruined this culture with your ignorant ass hating, seriously, go on ANY music or even movie website and go to a review section and there is at least 5 dickheads with 'WORST ALBUM/MOVIE EVER" comments, fuck off with that shit. you cared enough to make a comment.

Comment: If you expect these two legends to sound like 2011 you will be disappointed - and that´;s just what I expect from them! This is for all the heads that appreciate the original boom bap rap style, you will be pleased with this album.

Comment: im going to give this 4 because I have heard way worse from krs but with respect to show on the beats is the best part and you do have some bangers but really krs needs to just flow on faster beats because in slow mo its like watching a fully always being shot semi when it best works on fully or something like that i guess he is so hyped up from being on some real shit again

Comment: Not bad... but I expected more from both KRS and Show. Both legendary artist in their own right... I don't know I was thinkin Goodfelles meet Crimminal Minded/Sex & Violence, okay every album/s these dude have ever done. I was expecting something on a higher scale for this era. That's what unfortunately is not happening now.

Comment: I love KRS and have been a fan from the begining... this release is very disapointing, especially after Survival Skills and Metahistorical (which I thought were both great.) Pass this one by, Show ruined it!

Comment: Show, why did you do this to us? Why do you keep making boring beats. I am very pissed off at you for this. your songs used to be orchestrated proper. Verse, chorus breakdowns intros etc..very well laid out. This shit is lazy. Go back to the sp1200 and s950 combo please. The mpc2500 is not working good for you. Just my opinion.
