    Summary

The album is titled after the classic novel, "Invisible Man" by Ralph Ellison and features the standout singles "88 Soul" and "California Dreamin'" (video has over 100k views on YouTube) - The video also is included on this enhanced CD.

As Quamallah himself states: "My favorite time period for Hip Hop music was definitely between 1983 and 1994 with 1988 and 1993 being two years that standout as extremely impressive years musically and culturally. The fashion, slang, movies, t.v. shows, and vibe during those years was incredible. while totally submerged in the feelings and music of that entire time period, I went to work on "Invisible Man" and I am excited for people to hear the result! It is an album that I would want to hear from some of my favorite artists of the past and present today. This is not a RETRO trip for me; this is me at my best lyrically and spiritually using the accessories of the 80's and 90's to fuel me. I am a '88 soul as the song states!"

Comment: This album has some bangers! You Need Knowledge, 88 Soul, Purity, California Dreamin, Do Win-Dis, Black Shakespear, Just Listen, and For My People...are all dope joints. This is the type of album you can just throw on sit back and chill. Hop in the ride and sit in traffic and not get road rage. I wish other artist would come this correct. Its a classic.

Comment: This is a solid album, it has some good production & some good rhymns but thats it....I guess one of my problems is dudes delivery & voice....He comes off boring to me & its hard to listen to him for a whole album...It's a good album from start to finish but it's overrated to me... I think is actually between 3-3.5.. If you were to read the reviews before you listened to the album you would have thought it was the next Illmatic or Daily Operation & it's not...Better than average but not a classic!!!

Comment: Oh man, this shit is so smooth but raw at the same time. This dude has been gettin slept on for far too long! Cop this shit! When I be chillin out listenin to this I get goosebumps cuz the shit takes me back to the wonder years, 4 real! And with so many great musicians passing us by in the last few years, Ray Charles, James Brown, now MJ, etc., this is exactly the kind of shit heads need to be listen to! No filler, just good, soulful, jazzy, funky ass hip-hop. Cop it NOW! Especially if youve been missing that Jazzmatazz sound like I have been.

Comment: Man. Classic. To just say that this album takes me back to the best parts and memories of my teenage years would not do it justice. Superstar has a smooth flow, clever lyrics, and talks about things I can relate to. If you're tired of over manufactured cookie cutter %&$*, I hIghly recommend this album.

Comment: With all the BS out there today, its actually refreshing to hear someone who sounds '88. Invisible Man is that hot young shorty you just meet that reminds you of your first love. You never thought you would feel that way again, but here you are years later and you're sprung. Unpretentious and from the heart; thats what I hear out of this record. Dickriding the golden era? Count me in.

Comment: i can't believe this album has received so many great reviews, shit is decent but nothing more, dude is just dickriding the golden era trying to recreate shit that's already been done. just cuz he jocked his favorite golden era albums style & sound, ralph ellison and old school jazz lp covers don't make him anything special. the fuck can you be a superstar after appearing out of nowhere? snoozefest 2009

Comment: Every year there is that 1 album that seemingly drops out of nowhere and takes the underground scene by storm. Invisible Man is that joint for 2009'. The album is a classic throwback to another era when the game was just about making feel good music for the listener. Here Superstar Quamallah showcases thoughtful/intellectual rhymes over some really laid back chill production. I can't pick a favorite, every song is a must hear. Cop it.
