Comment: Another fine effort from this legendary crew with a nice original concept. The music is well produced with nice lyrical flow from all of the MCs. Black thought is a beast for sure on the mic and one of my faves and oh yeah as for Dice Raw why don't you release a sophomore solo joint to the nice solo effort Reclaiming the dead???

Comment: If u are looking for Illadelph Halflife a hip hop classic, this ain't it. However its good music and Thought still spits. Kinda reminds me of the last album initially a little too mellow with not enough edge. But sometimes mellow is good and you feel the album more with more listens.

Comment: This AIN'T a Roots album... I am afraid it IS made for iTunes. A couple of bangers and the outs are dope but this is a bit disappointing. Not their soul that is in this. This is NOT vinatge Roots. Not in... Not it.

Comment: To me this album sounds like it's made for iTunes sales and late night TV talk show performances. That's cool if that's the direction they want to go now days but this album is not for me and I hate it.

Comment: this shit is wack just like hte many before this one. too much soul and not enough hip hop and the end of the lp is just unexplainable. there is 1 song on here that you could thump and thats it -not that I like to shit on roots but ever since the outkast aquemini lp artists like roots, common and mos def all went wack. hardwood floors with incense burning while wearing thrift store hats take over your mind then you start wearing bracelets and shit. weak garbage far from real hip hop too too soft

Comment: What happened to the hip hop Roots? This is elevator music. Don't get me wrong. The Roots are one of the greatest bands of all time but the last 2 albums weren't very hip hop.

Comment: The album is nice but once again Malik B really needs to be on this album. The concept is from his Mob Ties single and Street asult mix tape. Maybe why this album has that mix tape feel. "Mob Ties is a story of a Mob Man . well depicted. I think it's on I Tunes.

Comment: if you dont love this album, I dont know what to tell you. this is what you expect from the Roots. Shows a lot of growth (hard to imagine after 20 years of putting out bangers) and feels completely natural. Amazed, once again!
