Comment: I remember when this 12" first came out when I was working at "The Hip Hop Shop" at the US1 Flea Market in NJ back in 1994 I believe. I purchased 2 copies with the quickness and with this new single, I knew my favorite group was about to drop a new album. Little did I know it would be as good or greater than all previous albums. And that album folks is: Hard To Earn. What was even doper was when I found the sample used for Mass Appeal on one of my older "Da Youngsta's" 12" singles. Once I found that sample, I knew my life was complete. What I remember most about this video was after watching it, I set both of my turntables to the right and the mixer to the far left just like DJ Premier in this video - what a mistake that was! I trained myself to DJ like this and then when it came time for me to try to do some serious DJing, I saw that everyone kept their mixer in the middle - wasn't easy to learn since I never used my left hand to scratch - thanks Premo!
