Breath of fresh air with this one. Two good Wu albums for 09. This one and Rae's album. Haven't heard Ghost's album yet. Don't know if I want to. I heard its pretty much R&Bullshit. |

One. Where the hell is Meth, GZA, and Masta Killa? Two. Why are there more skits than songs? Three. Where the hell is Meth, GZA- LOL oh my fault, I already said that. I love the album from start to finish. Even the album cover is the shit. But overall, it is not worthy of the name "Wu-Tang Clan". |

This new shit sounds to clean and "unhiphop"
Since 10 years Wu his trying to find a new identity instead should've kept it raw like the fiest LPs.
It's kind of sad!
The truth is that their sound changed because sample clearence became to expensive and time consuming.
They said fuck sampling let's do our "own" sound.....
Nigger your own sound was Enter The 36 Chambers, Liquid Swords, Ironman, Only Built 4 Cuban Links and Tical.

A new album that promises to stay true to their roots, promising to recreate the sound of 36 chambers. And the day there album releases you go out and buy it and what do you get? trash. Remember iron flag? the W? And lets be honest people 8 diagrams was a bunch of bullshit. Im sick of being promised a new 36 chambers every time a new wu album drops. They had 4 tries already and still cant get it. Think Differently in my opinion was the best stuff ive heard from any of the members in a long time. But once again ill keep my fingers crossed 4 this one. And as for cuban linx 2. After immobilarity and lex diamondz raekwon better have been cooking up some hot lyrics. Everybodys hyped about it being cuban linx 2 n all , and once again everybody is probably expecting that cuban linx sound, which sadly I dont think were gonna get. Whenever it does release |

here is some info on the album..
Andrew Kelley is helping to A&R and produce this next wu-tang album. They find ILL samples, get the band "The Revelations" to reproduce the samples in the studio, than they chop that shit up and make a beat out of it. I include this to acknowledge the Revelations involvement in the album, by the time the producers are finished with the beats, they do not have a 'Live' sound. Another engineer comes in and runs some filters and what not to give it that "early wu" sound. all the features on the album are people from that era of hip-hop, the team behind the project are keeping the entire album true to the sound of the original wu albums, and the original solo albums. RZA is exec producing, and will have final say. Members drop by the studio and drop their verses. so far ghost, az, cormega, deck, rza, and rae have dropped verses for the album. it was Rza's idea to make this album, for the fans who want an album that could easily have come out in the 90s... a throwback record, with all street songs on it, with just wu-tang and ill artists from that period in time. and in no way is this a 'compilation' album. its a wu album with good features. |
